02/09/2005 Athens - Thessaloniki in 4 h and 15' with ICE 50 & 51
Hellenic Railways (OSE) announces to the passengers that from 5th of September 2005 the duration time is even more reduced in the route Athens - Thessaloniki and Thessaloniki - Athens, which from now on will being covered in 4 hours and 15 minutes, through the running of a new pair of trains InterCity Express 50 and 51. The train ICE 50 will be realizing the itinerary Athens - Thessaloniki, with departure time at 07:50, while the train ICE 51 realising the itinerary Thessaloniki - Athens, will be departing from Thessaloniki railway station at 07:20.

The first itinerary ICE 50 Athens - Thessaloniki, which will be initiated on Monday 5th of September 2005, will be inaugurated from the Minister of Transportation and Communications Mr. Michali Liapi and an official happening will be followed at Thessaloniki railway station.

Organisation moves dynamically to the gradual reduction of the customers' transport time durations, with the aim of always offering better service and securing a comfort and nice journey.

Ich vermute mal eher es handelt sich hier um eine gleichlautende Zugattung und nicht um DEN ICE. Die Meldung ist ja auch schon fast anderthalb Jahre alt.

Da hat Catracho recht.

Auf der Originalseite der Bahnverwaltung steht im Beschaffungsprogramm bis Ende 2007 nichts von DEM ICE, außerdem soll die Elektrifizierung erst 2008 abgeschlossen sein. DER ICE könnte in Griechenland sowieso nicht annähernd ausgefahren werden.

Aber warum soll man durch Griechenland auch hetzen?

Da dürften die IC-Triebwagen fahren, die Ende der 80er von LEW und AEG für die OSE gebaut wurden, oder?
