Good Question. I've seen theese Parts in the Past too, but I have never thougt about it. I think, I phone some friends in Berlin and ask them for it.

Just some wild speculation, but as these are museal stock - might it be possible we're talking "fittings" for sign-lamps, sign-flags, signs or anything like this?

As you can see, these "fittings" are always installed asymmetrically - two on the right side, and one on the left side; mounted in a different height. They served as some kind of guardrail for staff changing between two coupled cars using the front (middle) door.

Wie auf den Bildern schön zu sehen, sind diese "Halter" immer asymmetrisch installiert - zwei auf der rechten Seite, einer auf der linken Seite in einer Höhe dazwischen. Bei zwei gekuppelten Wagen bilden sie eine Art "Geländer" für den Fall, dass der Wagenübergang durch die Fronttür benutzt wird.

But I think, to be used as guardrails, they're quite a little bit far away from the front doors, aren't they?

I also I found this train (from Hamburg?) with 2+2 asymmetrical hooks on each side
